Multi-Source SFM
With Multi-Source SFM you can create a record in the app by pulling data from more than one source, avoiding manual steps to copy over data from multiple source(s). For more information on configuring Multi-source SFM in SFM Transaction, see Multi-source Configuration
In the application, when you run the SFM transaction from the Action menu, the source SFM will be executed and the target record will be updated according to the qualifying criteria in the secondary process (The secondary process runs in the background).
Multi-Source SFM is only supported by the below options/ features when configured in the sub-process:
Qualifying Criteria
Field Mapping
Source Object Update
Example:
Primary Process: Service Contract is created from Account
Secondary Process: Service contract is created from Service Plan
Using Multi-source SFM, Service Contract (Target) is created from a Service Plan (secondary process) by mapping all the fields from Account (Primary Source).
*
The records of the secondary process source object should already be downloaded in the client application.
