Prerequisites of PM Plans
The following are the prerequisites before creating a PM Plan:
Ensure that all the PM configuration settings under Module: Preventive Maintenance and Sub-Module: Manage PM Plan, PM Actions, and PM Scheduler are appropriately defined.
Ensure that the field mappings are defined for the following:
PM Schedule Definition to Work Order
Installed Product/Account to Work Order (as needed)
Location to Work Order (as required)
Task Template to Task
Required Part to Work Details
Set up your Installed Base (IBs)
Set up the task template (Optional)
Define Tasks (Optional)
Define the Required Parts (Optional)
Set up the PM Plan Templates
Create a PM Process
Time-Based
Condition-Based
Ensure that the respective object records are created before creating a PM Plan from Account, Location, Installed Product, or Service Contract.
