Prerequisites of PM Plans
The following are the prerequisites before creating a PM Plan:
• Ensure that all the PM configuration settings under Module: Preventive Maintenance and Sub-Module: Manage PM Plan, PM Actions, and PM Scheduler are appropriately defined.
• Ensure that the field mappings are defined for the following:
◦ PM Schedule Definition to Work Order
◦ Installed Product/Account to Work Order (as needed)
◦ Location to Work Order (as required)
◦ Task Template to Task
◦ Required Part to Work Details
• Set up your Installed Base (IBs)
• Set up the task template (Optional)
◦ Define Tasks (Optional)
◦ Define the Required Parts (Optional)
• Set up the PM Plan Templates
• Create a PM Process
◦ Time-Based
◦ Condition-Based
• Ensure that the respective object records are created before creating a PM Plan from Account, Location, Installed Product, or Service Contract.
