SFM Wizard Configuration for Self-Dispatch
1. Create a custom SFM wizard for Work Order.
2. Add an SFM wizard step to the above wizard, for the standard SFM transaction ‘Create New Event From Work Order’.
a. If the value of global configuration setting GBL025 is Salesforce Event, choose the standard SFM transaction with the SFM Transaction ID (Wizard Step ID) WO_EVT_001 and the description ‘This SFM transaction is used to create new Event record from Work Order’.
b. If GBL025 is ServiceMax Event, choose the standard SFM transaction with the SFM Transaction ID (Wizard Step ID) WO_SVMXEVT_001 and the description ‘This SFM transaction is used to create new ServiceMax Event record from Work Order.’
3. If you configure both the standard SFM transactions named ‘Create New Event From Work Order’ in the same SFM wizard, only the relevant transaction is displayed in the Actions menu, based on the value of setting GBL025.

If you are creating a custom SFM transaction for ServiceMax Event, ensure that the WhatId field in ServiceMax Event is mapped to the Work Order's Id field. Standard SFM mapping SVMXSTD: Create Work Order to Event can be used for this.
