ServiceMax Configuration to Download Events and Tasks
The landing page of all ServiceMax mobile apps is the Calendar Day View, which displays all the events assigned to the technician for the current day. From there, he can navigate to other days to see his schedule for a week or a month. As a ServiceMax admin, you should determine the time range for which all assigned events will be downloaded to the mobile device, and for how long they should be retained locally.
You can use the Synchronization Settings in the Mobile Configuration screen to define the span of days (last 'n' and next 'n' days) for which events and tasks on the technician's calendar are to be downloaded to the mobile app. This is called the event window.
Any records such as work orders for which the events are scheduled are downloaded automatically along with their child records such as work details.
This automatic download happens if the technician has profile access to the objects and ServiceMax configuration to view or manipulate the records.
