Field Change Order
Field Change Order (FCO) is a high-level term used for different kinds of asset-focused work including changes in the field, modifications, recall management, and upgrades. Service Organizations often manage complex install base, with requirements for tracking the health and behavior of the device and its components.
The FCO functionality in ServiceMax provides a method and interface for locating specific installed products or inventory items based on the trackable requirements. It also provides a way to utilize the FCO search result to produce actionable output for fulfilling the change order's needs.
FCO helps service organization in solving the following problems:
Reduce the expenses incurred for product maintenance related to various types of production-related errors.
Identify specific Install Base items in need of modification or recall, regardless of device hierarchy.
Locate serialized or batched inventory affected by a change order modification or recall.
Ensure standards of compliance are maintained for devices installed at customer sites.
