ACD Integration
Purpose
Integration with Arbortext Content Delivery (ACD) provides a standard way for field and remote technicians using ServiceMax to access the right content for the required job directly from within Arbortext Content Delivery.
Overview
This document describes the approach identified to connect ServiceMax and Arbortext using Single Sign-On (SSO). The integration consists of the following phases:
1. Create an SFM Custom Action of type URL to navigate to the pre-filtered Arbortext content from any SFM Wizard.
2. Configure Single Sign-On (SSO) using one of the available authentication methods:
◦ Salesforce as Identity Provider (IdP)
◦ PingFederate as Identity Provider (IdP)

Benefits of the Integration
• Direct access to ACD from ServiceMax via configurable SFM Custom Action.
• No need to reauthenticate due to flexible SSO.
• Automatic filter on ACD documents based on product and/or specific serial number.
• Display of the most up to date version of a document or illustration.
• Ability to identify the right parts based on the exact product configuration.
