Reviewing the Validation Status
This section explains how to review the validation status while migrating configuration items.
When you click Validate to validate the deployment of selected configuration items in the Migration Tool:
If there are no conflicts in the configuration items you have selected for migration, a validation success message is displayed. Additionally, green tick marks are displayed in the Validation column in the list of configuration items in the Destination area.
If there are conflicts in the configuration items, an alert is displayed. The reasons for conflicts are displayed in the Validation column in the list of configuration items in the Destination area. Alternatively, you can click the More Information link next to the message to view the validation status.
If there are validation conflicts, you can choose to perform one of the following actions:
Select the Overwrite all existing items on targets checkbox to overwrite the conflicting configuration items in the target org.
Perform either of the following actions if you do not want to overwrite the configuration items that are causing conflicts:
Resolve the issues that are causing conflicts in the configuration items in the source org or the target org, and restart the migration.
Unselect the configuration items causing conflicts from the list of items for migration and restart the migration.

When the validation is complete, the Migration Tool sends a summary of the validation to the email ID of the logged-in user account in the target org.
