Business Process Flows
Asset-oriented organizations often provide onsite service to their customers. Asset 360 now includes mobile workflow to enable Field Engineers in supporting their customers.
The following mobile flow templates are included as part of the Mobile Beta program.
Return For (Depot) Repair
Capture Onsite Upsell & Competitor Opportunities
Each packaged flow provides a template that can be further customized to an organization's specific needs.
Providing these templates as part of the Best Practice Flows library allows organizations to implement common workflow quickly, resulting in a faster return on investment and time to value.
Use Cases
The following common business use cases demonstrate the functionality and value derived from the packaged mobile flows.
Return For (Depot) Repair: A field engineer is sent onsite to investigate a problem with a customer asset. A determination is made that the asset cannot be repaired onsite, but rather, it must be sent back to a Depot for repairs. Previously, all returns for depot repair were initiated by Back Office personnel. Now the field engineers are empowered to initiate the Return for Repair process directly from their mobile devices, increasing productivity, efficiency, and scalability in the business.
Capture Upsell/Competitor Opportunities: A field engineer is sent onsite to investigate a problem with a customer asset. While onsite, the field engineer discovers a few other of their own assets onsite that are approaching or past their end of life or support. The field engineer recognizes there is an immediate opportunity to upsell newer products the organization sells to their existing customer to replace the aging assets. Conversely, the field engineer may identify competitor assets while onsite. This also represents an opportunity to sell their own products that perform the same functions. Both opportunities represent potential new revenue for the organization. The packaged mobile flow allows the field engineer to capture these otherwise missed opportunities, resulting in new revenue streams for the organization.
