Deleting Partially Created Service Contract
In the event of a high volume Contract encountering errors during creation, the Contract Authoring Status is updated to Incomplete once all batches have finished processing. You can review any batch errors through the Contract Authoring Logs and delete the entire Service Contract and its Coverages if the errors are too significant.
The Delete Contract and Coverages SPM option on the Service Contract Actions SPM Wizard allow you to delete an incomplete, high volume Service Contract, along with all its coverages, with a single click.
To delete the partially created Service Contract record, perform the following steps:
1. Launch the Service Contract record that was recently created from Asset, Account, or Location.
2. Navigate to Service Process Wizard > Service Contract Actions > Delete Contract and Coverages.
*
The Delete Contract and Coverages wizard is available only if the Contract Authoring Status of the Service Contract record is Incomplete.
You can manually change the Contract Authoring Status to Incomplete and click the Delete Contract and Coverage wizard.
3. Click Confirm. A confirmation message is displayed after the successful deletion of the Service Contract record.
*
When a Service Contract is deleted and the records count is high, it is recommended to wait for some time without performing any action on the screen.
If the Service Contract is used in any Case, Work Order, Return Order, or any other record, then the Service Contract cannot be deleted.
