Contract Authoring Logs
In a High-Volume Contract scenario, the Contract Authoring Log records store the logs in the process of Service Contract creation. Only Contracts with more than 2,000 assets associated as Contract Lines will have Contract Authoring Logs because only Contracts of this volume or greater result in Contract Creation through Batch Processing.
Perform the following steps to access the Contract Authoring Logs for qualifying Contracts.
1. Launch the Service Contract for which you want to get the Authoring Logs.
2. From the Related tab, navigate to the Contract Authoring Logs related list.
3. Click View All at the bottom of the Contract Authoring Logs list.
Log Types
There are two types of logs in the Contract Authoring Logs:
• Master Log: This log type shows only the total and the actual number of batches processed.
• Detail Log: This log type shows the details of records processed in each batch. It also contains any specific messages related to the batch process if it fails.
 | • These logs get created for Create and Delete actions. Hence, the Operation Type field is populated based on the action, Create or Delete. • Each batch contains up to 100 Asset records. |
