Maintenance Performance Dashboard
New Feature
Consolidated maintenance service performance analytics across the install base. Users analyze maintenance effectiveness by product, product line, region, or account through KPI cards, fusion charts, an interactive product risk list, and geographic map visualizations. An AI-powered natural language filter applies criteria across all dashboard components from plain-text queries. For more information, see Maintenance Performance Dashboard.
5.0
Salesforce Authentication
New Feature
Salesforce credential authentication connecting PTC Orbit to a ServiceMax Core environment. Administrators store credentials within PTC Orbit, enabling HTTP Notifications to push corrected or enriched data back to Core for bidirectional data synchronization.
5.0
Canonical Data Model
Enhancement
Seven new objects added to the Canonical Data Model for preventive maintenance plan data: Maintenance Plan, Covered Entity, PM Schedule, PM Schedule Rule, PM Work History, PM Process, and Expressions. A dedicated Matillion-based Input Data Adapter extracts and transforms maintenance plan data from ServiceMax Core into the standardized format within Snowflake. For more information, see Configure the Maintenance Data Pipeline.
5.0
Work Order Data Model
Enhancement
Additional fields and calculated metrics on the work order data model for maintenance analytics, including completion dates and time between repairs. Updated Matillion pipelines import the expanded field set from ServiceMax Core and populate calculated values automatically during each data load. For more information, see Work Orders.
5.0
AI Hub
New Feature
Conversational analytics and data-driven insights within PTC Orbit. Users interact with asset data using natural language to get quick answers and chart visualizations without complex queries. For more information, see AI Hub.
3.0
New Feature
3D Creo Viewer and Bill of Materials integration in AI Hub. Users can load interactive 3D product models, explore structure hierarchies, perform spatial searches, and identify parts across assets directly within the AI Canvas. For more information, see 3D Product Explorer.
4.0
Enhancement
Chart re-sizing in AI Hub. Users can enlarge and dynamically re-size charts generated through natural language prompts, with improved performance and reliability across sessions. For more information, see Generate Charts in AI Hub.
4.0
Demand Forecasting
New Feature
Interactive results overlay for completed forecasts. Planners can view forecast parameters, bar charts of projected work orders, and interval-based data tables, with export to PDF, CSV, and Excel. For more information, see Export Demand Forecast Results.
5.0
Enhancement
PM schedule data integration into demand forecasts. Forecasting now combines planned and unplanned service demand into a unified projection across the install base. For more information, see Demand Forecasting.
5.0
New Feature
Predict future work order volumes and service hours by analyzing historical patterns. Users can create forecasts using an AI-assisted LLM builder or a guided manual builder with criteria, date range, and asset filter configuration. For more information, see Demand Forecasting.
4.0
App Notifications
New Feature
A streamlined notification system with a bell icon on the app header. Users can view, act on, or dismiss recent updates related to their assets and activities. For more information, see App Notifications.
3.0
Asset Score
Enhancement
Redesigned Maintenance Effectiveness Score with a weighted calculation that combines completed maintenance percentage (70% weight) and on-time completion percentage (30% weight). Each asset record displays a single 1-to-100 score that feeds into the Maintenance Performance Dashboard. For more information, see Scores.
5.0
Enhancement
Enhanced administrator controls for score management. Administrators can disable individual scores without permanent deletion, removing them from asset details and batch calculations. Disabled scores display a label on the Scores home page and can be re-enabled at any time. For more information, see Scores.
4.0
Windchill ESI Integration
Enhancement
Enhanced ESI Response data model mapping between PTC Windchill and PTC Orbit. Supports consuming Windchill ESI Response XML data through automated Matillion pipelines, covering added, updated, and deleted BOMs, BOM components, parts, resource BOMs, and substitutes.
4.0
Tenant Provisioning
Enhancement
Streamlined initial setup for new tenants. The Orbit Admin role is now automatically assigned to the system administrator, and pre-configured matching rules for Asset and Product objects are packaged with the installation for out-of-the-box data deduplication.
