Integration Endpoints
Supported integration paths, data connectors, and external system connections available in PTC Orbit.
Overview
PTC Orbit connects to external systems through a set of built-in data connectors and integration endpoints. These connections bring asset data, service records, and IoT signals into the platform from source systems like Windchill, ServiceMax, Salesforce, and custom data sources.
The tables below describe each supported connector type, the direction of data flow, and configuration requirements. For step-by-step setup, see the corresponding implementer topics linked in each section.

Description
Windchill Connector
PTC Windchill
Inbound
Imports product structure, BOM data, and engineering change records from Windchill into PTC Orbit.
ServiceMax Connector
ServiceMax
Bidirectional
Synchronizes work order, service history, and installed product data between ServiceMax and PTC Orbit.
Salesforce Connector
Salesforce
Bidirectional
Exchanges account, contact, and asset data with Salesforce CRM.
Custom Connector
User-defined
Configurable
Connects to any external system through configurable field mappings and data transformation rules.
IoT and Telemetry Integration
PTC Orbit receives real-time telemetry data from IoT-connected assets. Sensor readings, alert thresholds, and operating metrics flow into the platform to power the scoring models and pending item workflows.

Description
ThingWorx
Inbound
Receives sensor telemetry, threshold alerts, and device status from ThingWorx-connected assets.
Kepware
Inbound
Collects industrial protocol data (OPC UA, MQTT) through Kepware and routes it to PTC Orbit through ThingWorx.
