To Configure BOM Parameters
To configure Bill of Materials (BOM) parameters, click > . Then click the BOM Parameters tab.
Each parameter definition contains these values:
• Parameter Name—The name of the parameter in Creo
• Belongs To—Specifies if the parameter is located on the model, or on the component feature.
• Parameter Type—The type of Creo parameter, either INTEGER, DOUBLE, STRING, or BOOL.
• Format—The column width in the BOM table
• Designate—Specifies if the parameter should be designated in Creo.
• Show in Table—Specifies if the parameter is visible in the BOM table.
• Show in GUI—Specifies if the parameter is displayed in the Bill of Materials dialog box.
• Use to Summarize—Determines which parameters indicate that two BOM components are identical.
• Default Value—Determines the default value of a parameter by its content, using one of the following functions:
◦ &pos_id—Position number
◦ &qty—Quantity
◦ &partname—Model name
◦ &bomname—The content of the BUW_NAME parameter
◦ &supplier—The content of the BUW_SUPPLIER parameter
◦ &material—The assigned material.
◦ &ord_number—The content of the BUW_TYPE and BUW_SIZE parameters
