Out of service milestone (UPDM - NAF aliases)
Creation
To create an Out Of Service Milestone:
From an Architectural Description or Service Description: right-click the Architectural Description or Service Description, point to New, point to NAF, point to Programme, and then click Out Of Service Milestone.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Project Milestone that is the classifier for the Out Of Service Milestone.
Click the Out Of Service Milestone button, and then click in free space on the diagram. On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Project Milestone element that is the classifier of the Out Of Service Milestone.
From an appropriate Modeler pane, locate the Project Milestone element that you want to use as the classifier of the Out Of Service Milestone, and then drag that Project Milestone to free space on the diagram. From the dialog, select Out Of Service Milestone, and then click OK.
After creating an Out Of Service Milestone you can set its date and values: right-click the an Out Of Service Milestone, point to Set, and then click Date or Values as appropriate.
You can convert an Out Of Service Milestone to an Actual Project Milestone, Deployed Milestone, Increment Milestone or No Longer Used Milestone: right click the Out Of Service Milestone, point to Convert To, and then click the required command.

Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to an Out Of Service Milestone:
Milestone Sequence relationships link an Out Of Service Milestone to the milestones that are predecessors and successors to that Out Of Service Milestone. The predecessor and successor elements can be Actual Project Milestone, Deployed Milestone, Increment Milestone, No Longer Used Milestone and Out Of Service Milestone elements.
