Boards
A board is a processing component of the system architecture.
Use the icon on the System Architecture Diagram tab to add a new board to the diagram, or you can drag a board from the dictionary.
When you have added a board, you can change it both via the diagram using the board Property pages and the context menu.
Design a board's layout on a board type and then link the board type to your board to associate these characteristics.
A board will display board connection points if you have assigned board i/o devices to its board type. Board connection points are connectable nodes on your board that link with all items on the diagram, except actors.
Arrange board connection points around the boundary of your board by dragging them to required positions. Although you can create an unlimited number of board connection points for a board type, the maximum visible on the default board size is fifteen. Resize your board so that connection points are displayed more clearly.

• When you enlarge a board the connector symbol at the top left of the board remains the same size.
• Use the icon on the System Architecture Diagram tool bar to link diagram items to a board.
