Building the Simulink shell (SySim)
If you have modeled the behavior of a SySim Control Block through a referenced Simulink model, you must build a Simulink shell for that Simulink model.
To build the Simulink shell:
1. Start SySim.
For more information, refer to Starting SySim.
2. In the SySim Simulator list, select the SySim Simulation Scenario Block for which you want to build the Simulink shell.
The Simulink shell wraps a Simulink model into a component that is able to communicate with the SySim model execution through TCP/IP.
3. Click the Build Simulink Shell button.
The Simulink shell model is created in the folder that owns the referenced Simulink model. The name of the Simulink shell model is set to the name of the SySim Simulator's part that uses the SySim Control Block that references the Simulink model.
After building the Simulink shell, you can start the SySim model execution and the Simulink shell simulation. See Starting a SySim model execution.
Important: After starting the SySim model execution application, you will not able to start that SySim model execution until you have started the Simulink shell simulation in Simulink.
