Rerouting links in diagrams
You can configure Windchill Modeler to automatically reroute links in diagrams. With automatic rerouting, the links that you create or the nodes that you move do not cross over other nodes but go around existing nodes and jump over existing links. This also makes your diagram look more presentable.
To enable automatic rerouting
1. On the Model tab, click Options.
2. On the Diagrams entry, select the Route links automatically check box.
To reroute a single link
Right-click the link and select Reroute link. Modeler automatically reroutes the link and circumvents any existing nodes that are in its path. The start and end points of the link are unchanged.
To reroute links of a node
Right-click the node and select Reroute All Links. Modeler automatically reroutes all the links. The start and end points of the links are unchanged.
For additional options, right-click the node or link and select More Reroute Link or More Reroute Links and from the popup menu, select any one of the following options:
• Automatically Select Link Start Position – Automatically selects an optimal start position of the link.
• Automatically Select Link Start/End Positions – Automatically selects optimal start and end positions of the link.
• Automatically Select Link End Position – Automatically selects an optimal end position of the link.
