Surrogate mapping options page (Integration for IBM Rational DOORS)
This page of Integration for IBM Rational DOORS allows you to specify how the surrogate objects are organized in the surrogate module, and how unhandled items are dealt with.
In addition to the common navigation buttons, the following controls appear on this page of Integration for IBM Rational DOORS.
Structure Options group:
Package Hierarchy option - specifies that Integration for IBM Rational DOORS groups the surrogate objects in the surrogate module by their Package hierarchy.
Create Object in DOORS for Root Item check box - specifies that a surrogate object is created for the Model or Package that is selected as the Root Item on the Modeler Model and DOORS Module Selection page.
Group By Type option - specifies that Integration for IBM Rational DOORS groups the surrogate objects in the surrogate module by their item or diagram type.
Do Not Move Objects in DOORS check box - specifies that Integration for IBM Rational DOORS will not change the order of any surrogate objects that already exist in DOORS.
Action for Deleted Modeler Items group:
Delete Associated Surrogate Object option - specifies that when a surrogate object's associated Model item has been deleted, Integration for IBM Rational DOORS should delete that surrogate object.
*
Undeleting a surrogate object may result in more than one surrogate object being mapped to the same Modeler item. If Integration for IBM Rational DOORS detects this problem it abandons the synchronization and records which surrogate objects are causing the problem in the log. To resolve the problem you must change the module so that only one surrogate object is mapped to the Modeler item.
Note that before deleting a DOORS object Integration for IBM Rational DOORS deletes its incoming and outgoing links that are in the scope of the mappings that are being synchronized. If after deleting these links there are no incoming or outgoing links, Integration for IBM Rational DOORS deletes the DOORS object; if after deleting these links there are incoming or outgoing links, Integration for IBM Rational DOORS does not delete the DOORS object and instead marks it as deleted.
Mark Associated Surrogate Object as Deleted from Modeler option - specifies that when a surrogate object's associated Model item has been deleted (or if that Model item is no longer included in Integration for IBM Rational DOORS), Integration for IBM Rational DOORS should mark the surrogate object as being deleted in Modeler, that is, the ART Model Element Deleted attribute of the surrogate object is set to True.
