Resource operation (UPDM - NAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Resource Operation:
• From a
Capability Configuration,
Organization,
Physical Architecture,
Post,
Resource Artifact,
Responsibility,
Service Access or
Software: right-click the element, point to New, point to NAF, and then click Resource Operation.
On the Select Realizes dialog, select the realized Function. Modeler sets the name of the Resource Operation to that of the realized Function.
• From an
NSV-1 Resource Specification: click the Resource Operation button, and then click the owning element.

Software element.

NSV-10c Resource Event-Trace Description, click the 
Resource Operation Message or 
Resource Operation Reply Message button, in line with the required Statement click the source lifeline, and then click the destination lifeline.
Resource Operation Message or Resource Operation Reply Message button, in line with the required Statement click the source lifeline, and then click the destination lifeline.When you create the Resource Operation message, you are prompted to create or select the Resource Operation that represents the Function you want to show on the NSV-10c Resource Event-Trace Description.
To change the Resource Operation element's realized Function: right-click the Resource Operation, point to Links, and then click Realizes.

Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to a Resource Operation:
