Standard configuration (UPDM - MODAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Standard Configuration:
From an Architectural Description or Service Description: right-click the Architectural Description or Service Description, point to New, point to MODAF, point to Technical, and then click Standard Configuration.
From a Capability Configuration: right-click the Capability Configuration, point to New, point to MODAF, and then click Standard Configuration.
From an SV-1 Resource Definition: click the Standard Configuration button, and then click in free space on the diagram.
After creating a Standard Configuration, use its Full Text property to specify the text of the Standard Configuration.
Applying to elements
When you create a Standard Configuration it is applied to the owning Capability Configuration, unless the owning element is an Architectural Description or Service Description. You can apply a Standard Configuration to many Capability Configuration elements.
To apply a Standard Configuration to a Capability Configuration:
From an SV-1 Resource Definition: click the Note Link button, click the Standard Configuration, and then click the Capability Configuration to which the Standard Configuration applies.
From an appropriate Modeler pane:
Right-click the Standard Configuration, point to Links, and then click Standard Configuration Element. From the Links Editor, select the Capability Configuration elements to which the Standard Configuration applies.
Right-click the Capability Configuration, point to Links, point to Applied, and then click Standard Configuration. From the Links Editor, select the Standard Configuration elements that apply to the Capability Configuration.

There are no relationships that are of significant importance to a Standard Configuration.
