Creation

• From an Architectural Description, Logical Data Model, Physical Data Model, or Service Description: right the element, point to New, point to MODAF, point to All, and then click Exchange Element.

Exchange Element button, and then click in free space on the diagram.

When shown on an OV-7 Information Model or SV-11 Physical Schema, an Exchange Element appears as follows:

Relationships

The following relationships are of importance to an Exchange Element:

• Details relationships link the Exchange Element to related Entity Item elements.

• Used as a type for Resource Port elements.

• Used as a conveyed classifier for Control and Operational Exchange elements.
