Submachine state (service) (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
A Submachine State (Service) is a proprietary element that decomposes a State Description (Service).
Creation
To create a Submachine State (Service):
From a Sequential State (Service) or State Description (Service): right-click the element, point to New, point to DoDAF, and then click Submachine State (Service).
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the State Description (Service) element that is the submachine of the Submachine State (Service).
Click the Submachine State (Service) button, and then click in free space on the diagram. On the Select Type dialog, create or select the State Description (Service) element that is the submachine of the Submachine State (Service).
From an appropriate Modeler pane, locate the State Description (Service) element that you want to use as the submachine of the Submachine State (Service), and then drag that State Description (Service) to free space on the diagram.
