Activity performed by performer (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create an Activity Performed by Performer relationship from a Performer (Operational) or Security Domain to a performed Activity (Operational) or Standard Activity (Operational):
From a Performer (Operational) or Security Domain: right-click the element, point to Links, point to All, and then click Performs. From the Links Editor dialog, select the performed Activity (Operational) or Standard Activity (Operational).
From an OV-5 Operational Activity Decomposition Tree: click the Activity Performed by Performer button, click the Performer (Operational) or Security Domain, and then click the performed Activity (Operational) or Standard Activity (Operational).
From an OV-5 Operational Activity Model: create an Activity Partition (Operational) that uses the Performer (Operational) or Security Domain as its type, and then within the Activity Partition (Operational) create an Activity Action (Operational) that uses the performed Activity (Operational) or Standard Activity (Operational) as its type.
Note that moving an Activity Action (Operational) to an Activity Partition (Operational) creates an Activity Performed by Performer relationship, and moving an Activity Action (Operational) from an Activity Partition (Operational) deletes the Activity Performed by Performer relationship.
To create an Activity Performed by Performer relationship from a Performer (System), Organization Type, System Context, Person Role Type, System, Responsibility, Service Access, or Software to a performed Activity (System):
From a Performer (System), Organization Type, System Context, Person Role Type, System, Responsibility or Service Access: right-click the element, point to Links, point to All, and then click Performs. From the Links Editor dialog, select the performed Activity (System).
From an SV-4 Systems Functionality Hierarchy: click the Activity Performed by Performer button, click the source element, and then click the performed Activity (System).
The source element can be a Performer (System), Organization Type, System Context, Person Role Type, System, Responsibility or Service Access.
From an SV-4 Systems Functionality Description: create an Activity Partition (System) that uses the Performer (System), Organization Type, System Context, Person Role Type, System, Responsibility or Service Access as its type, and then within the Activity Partition (System) create an Activity Action (System) that uses the performed Activity (System) as its type.
Note that moving an Activity Action (System) to an Activity Partition (System) creates an Activity Performed by Performer relationship, and moving an Activity Action (System) from an Activity Partition (System) deletes the Activity Performed by Performer relationship.
To create an Activity Performed by Performer relationship from a Service Interface to a performed Activity (Service):
From a Service Interface: right-click the Service Interface, point to Links, point to All, and then click Performs. From the Links Editor dialog, select the performed Activity (Service).
From an SOV-5 Service Functionality: click the Activity Performed by Performer button, click the Service Interface, and then click the performed Activity (Service).
Appearance
When shown on an OV-5 Operational Activity Decomposition Tree, SOV-5 Service Functionality or SV-4 Systems Functionality Hierarchy, an Activity Performed by Performer appears as follows:
An AV-5 Capable Performer Matrix is useful for viewing elements that are linked to each other through Activity Performed by Performer relationships in a matrix.
Relationships
There are no relationships that are of significant importance to an Activity Performed by Performer.
