System scope modeling overview
The System Scope Model describes the responsibilities of the system at its highest level. You define your system's scope using one System Architecture Diagram.
The model shows the system boundary at the center of the diagram, with usage scenarios depicted as events flowing between subsystems, actors and interface devices.
Modeling system scope is a critical early activity because it defines the boundary of the system and provides a vocabulary for describing usage scenarios.
Modeler allows you to manually build a System Architecture Diagram or you can add one item to the diagram and then automatically populate the diagram with related items and associations.
