Root (property)

This property specifies that a Variation Point will always appear as a top-level Variation Point in the Decision Set Editor.
If a Variation Point is constrained by another Variation Point, then the constrained Variation Point will not appear as a root Variation Point in the Decision Set Editor and will instead appear below the constraining Variation Point. Selecting the Root check box for a Variation Point ensures that the Variation Point will always appear as a top-level Variation Point in the Decision Set Editor.
By default, the Root check box is blank is cleared.
This property is set on the Options tab of a Variation Point's property pages.
