Multiplicity (property of attribute or role)

This property specifies the multiplicity of an Attribute or Role.
When used on a Composite Structure Diagram, the notation is as follows.
By default:
• For an Attribute, the Multiplicity is set to Only One.
• For a Role, the Multiplicity is derived from the associated Association.
If a redefinition has a multiplicity that can only be greater than the multiplicity of the item it redefines, it will be reported as an error when you perform a consistency check.
This property is set on the Options tab of an Attribute's or Role's Property Pages.
