This property specifies whether a Variation Point is mandatory or not, that is, whether the Variation Point must be decided or can be decided.

The notation of a Variation Point on a diagram indicates whether the Variation Point is mandatory or not.

By default, the Mandatory check box is selected.

This property is set on the Options tab of a Variant Point's Property Pages.
