When you select the Has Parameter check box for a Variant or Dependency, Modeler creates a Variant Parameter object through the Parameter association. Has Max String Length is an attribute of the Variant Parameter object.

This property specifies that a Variant or Dependency's parameter has a maximum length.

After selecting the Has Maximum Length check box you can define the maximum length of the parameter through the Max box.

By default, the Has Maximum Length check box is cleared.

This property is set on the Parameter tab of a Variant or Dependency's Property Pages.

This property is available only when the Parameter Type is set to string.
