Component Sharing Configuration Manager - destination tab (Component Sharing Wizard)
This topic is for the Destination tab of the Component Sharing Configuration Manager.
The options on this tab depend on the Action that is selected on the Main tab.
For an Export To CM action, the following controls appear on this tab.
CM Tool box - shows the name of the CM tool being used. Click the Selection button associated with the CM Tool box to specify the required information on the CM Command Configuration dialog:
CM Toolbox – select the CM tool you are using. You can create and delete CM tools in the list through the associated buttons.
Database– select the required CM tool database. You can create and delete CM tool databases in the list through the associated buttons.
Project– specify the name of the project in the database. For example, $/MyProject for a Visual SourceSafe project.
CWF File– specify the name of the CWF file that is checked into the CM tool project.
Username box – specify the user name to use for the CM tool.
Password box– specify the password to use for the CM tool.
Check-In Comment box shows information about the CM tool project and the CWF that will be created.
The Container box, Change Note box and Protect Packages check box are not available when exporting to CM.
For an Export To Directory action, the following controls appear on this tab:
CWF File box - shows the name of the CWF file you have specified for export. Specify the path and name of the CWF file through the associated selection button. When you select or create a CWF file, the Component Information dialog displays information about the file you will create or replace later.
The Container box, Change Note box and Protect Packages heck box are not available when exporting to directory.
For an Export To Model action, the following controls appear on this tab:
Model box - shows the name of the selected destination model. Select a destination model through the associated selection button.
Container box - shows the name of the Package in the destination model that you have specified to own new Packages that are created by the Component Sharing Wizard. Select the container Package through the associated selection button.
Change Note box - shows the name of the Change Note that you have selected to track the changes made in the Destination Model. You must select a Change Note if change tracking is enabled in the destination model. Select a Change Note to use through the associated selection button. Note that your active Change Note in the destination model is selected by default.
Protect Imported Packages check box - specifies that any Packages created in the destination model by the Component Sharing Wizard will be protected, as set on the Access Permissions tab of the Property Pages.
For Import From CM, Import From Directory and Import From Model actions, the following controls appear on this tab:
Model box - shows the name of the active Modeler model.
Container box - shows the name of the Package in the active Modeler model that you have selected to own new Packages that are created by the Component Sharing Wizard. Select the container Package through the associated selection button.
Change Note box - shows the name of the Change Note that you have selected to track the changes made in the active Modeler Model. You must select a Change Note if change tracking is enabled in the active Modeler model. Select a Change Note to use through the associated selection button. Note that your active Change Note in the active Modeler model is selected by default.
Protect Imported Packages check box - specifies that any Packages created in the active Modeler model by the Component Sharing Wizard will be protected, as set on the Access Permissions tab of the Property Pages.
In addition to the controls on the tab, the following commands and buttons are available:
File > New command - opens a dialog for you to create a configuration file.
File > Open command - opens a dialog for you to select a configuration file to open.
File > Save command - saves any changes you have made to the configuration file.
File > Exit command - closes the dialog without performing a component sharing operation. If there are unsaved changes, you are prompted to save those changes.
Help button - opens this Help topic.
Run button - starts the component sharing operation using the settings set on the dialog.
