Controlling how Object Animator runs an animation (Object Animator)
You can control how Object Animator deals with Selection, Parallel and Iteration statements, and whether referenced diagrams are stepped into when running an animation.
1. On the Edit menu, click Options.
2. If you want Object Animator to continuously loop through a Sequence Diagram, click the 'Auto-restart' Diagrams check box.
3. If you want Object Animator to prompt you for a path at Selection, Parallel and Iteration statements, select the Stop at Selection/Parallel/Iteration check box.
*
If you clear the Stop at Selection/Parallel/Iteration check box, Object Animator steps through all parallel threads in order, steps through the first path in each Selection block, and steps through an Iteration block only once before continuing.
4. If you want Object Animator to animate child Sequence Diagrams of Events, Operations and Use Cases; and Sequence Diagrams referenced by Interaction Frames, select the Animate into Child Diagrams check box.
*
If you run through an animation, Object Animator will animate all child and referenced Sequence Diagrams. If you step through an animation, Object Animator will animate all child Sequence Diagrams, except when an Event, Operation or Use Case owns multiple Sequence Diagrams, in which case you are prompted to select the child diagram you want to animate.
5. If you want to follow the steps being animated on the Sequence Diagrams in Modeler, select the Display Sequence Diagram check box.
6. If you want to display message information in Object Animator, select the Messaging check box.
