Setting the values for Windchill parameters through a parameter configuration file (Integration for PTC Windchill)
1. If you have not started Windchill Exporter at least once, start Windchill Exporter. How?
You must do this because Windchill Exporter creates the Parameter Configuration file the first time it is started.
2. Locate the Windchill Exporter Parameter Configuration file, which is named WCExporterConfig.xml.
If you have installed Modeler to the default location, the WCExporterConfig.xml file resides in the following folder:
C:\ProgramData\PTC Integrity Modeler\ModelerATF
3. Create a copy of the WCExporterConfig.xml file, and then change the name of the copy to a meaningful name.
4. Using a text editor such as Notepad, open the new Parameter Configuration file.
For information about the available parameters, see Parameter configuration files (Integration for PTC Windchill).
5. Make the required changes to the Parameter Configuration file, and then save the changes you made.
We recommend that a Windchill user (such as an Administrator, Product Manager or Product Architect) should set the required values.
*
If a user changes the values of any parameters in Windchill Exporter, then the new values of those parameters are written to the referenced Parameter Configuration file when the export starts.
When you use Windchill Exporter, you can select your Parameter Configuration file on the Configurations Page.
