Needline (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create a Needline:
From an OV-2 Operational Resource Flow Description: click the Shallow Needline or Shallow Uni-Directional Needline toolbar button, click the source element, and then click the destination element.
The source and destination elements can be Known Resource, Performer Port, Performer Role or Problem Domain elements.
To create a Needline and connecting Performer Port elements in one operation:
From an OV-2 Operational Resource Flow Description: click the Complete Needline toolbar button, click the source Known Resource, Performer Role or Problem Domain, and then click the destination Known Resource, Performer Role or Problem Domain.
On the Select Type dialog, select the type of the Performer Port elements.
