Creating a proxy port (SysML)
You can create typed and untyped Proxy Ports in the model. After creating a Proxy Port, you can set or change its type.

To create a proxy port:
1. In an appropriate pane, right-click the Block or Interface Block that is to own the Proxy Port, point to New, point to SysML, and then click Proxy Port.
2. To use an existing item as a type:
a. In the Options group, click the Existing Type option.
b. Select the item that you want to use as a type, and then click OK.
Note that, in the Existing Type: pane, you can click the Find Items button to open the Add New Search Folder dialog where you can specify the Type and a subset or the full Name of the items that you want to find.
To create a new item to use as a type:
a. In the Options group, click the New Type option.
b. From the Type list, select the type of the item you want to create and use as a type.
c. In the Name box, type the name of the item that will be used as a type, and then click OK.
To create an untyped Proxy Port:
In the Options group, click the Untyped option, and then click OK.
3. Type the name of the Proxy Port, and then press the Enter key.
After creating a Proxy Port, you can specify its multiplicity and specify whether the Proxy Port is conjugated, read only and a behavior port. For more information see the Proxy Port topic in the Related Topics.
