Creating a requirement extension (SysML)
You can create a Requirement Extension through a diagram or an appropriate Modeler pane.
To create a requirement extension on a diagram:
1. If required, set up the default name and the number of digits to use for new Requirements and Requirement Extensions.
How?
2. In Modeler, open the diagram.
3. On the diagram toolbar, click the required Requirement Extension button:
Design Constraint
Extended Requirement
Functional Requirement
Interface Requirement
Performance Requirement
Physical Requirement
4. On the diagram, click in free space.
5. Type the name of the Requirement, and then press the Enter key.
6. On the Requirement's Property Pages, click the Text tab, and then from the drop-down list select Description.
7. Type the text of the Requirement in the Description property.
To create a requirement extension through a Modeler pane:
1. If required, set up the default name and the number of digits to use for new Requirements and Requirement Extensions. How?
2. Right-click the Model or Package in which you want to create the Requirement Extension, point to New, point to SysML, point to Requirements, and then click the appropriate command.
Right-click the Requirement or Requirement Extension from which you want to create the Requirement Extension, point to New, point to SysML, and then click the appropriate command.
You can create use the following commands:
Design Constraint
Extended Requirement
Functional Requirement
Interface Requirement
Performance Requirement
Physical Requirement
3. Type the name of the Requirement Extension, and then press the Enter key.
4. On the Requirement Extension's Property Pages, click the Text tab, and then from the drop-down list select Description.
5. Type the text of the Requirement in the Description property.
