Invalid names warning dialog (Integration for MATLAB Simulink)
This dialog is opened from the Item Mappings page when a Simulink object has an invalid name for Modeler.
This dialog lists the invalid Simulink objects, that is, Simulink objects that have trailing spaces, line-feeds or tabs in their names.
Integration for MATLAB Simulink can change the Simulink object names for you by replacing trailing spaces, line-feeds or tabs with underscores. Alternatively, you can close Integration for MATLAB Simulink and change the names in the Simulink model yourself.
To make Integration for MATLAB Simulink fix the invalid names in Simulink model:
1. From the Invalid Names Warning dialog, click Fix.
Integration for MATLAB Simulink makes the names in the Simulink model valid by replacing the trailing spaces, line-feeds and tabs with underscores.
If Integration for MATLAB Simulink can fix the invalid names, you are returned to the Item Mapping page to continue the synchronization.
If replacing the trailing spaces, line-feeds and tabs with underscores results in name clashes, Integration for MATLAB Simulink opens the Renames Failed dialog.
2. If Integration for MATLAB Simulink opens the Renames Failed dialog:
a. From the Renames Failed dialog, click Save.
The names and error messages for each list Object are saved to a file.
b. Click OK to close Integration for MATLAB Simulink.
c. In the Simulink model, remove the trailing spaces, line-feeds and tabs from the names of the invalid objects so that they are valid for importing to Modeler.
d. Start Integration for MATLAB Simulink and repeat the synchronization.
To manually fix the invalid names in the Simulink model:
1. From the Invalid Names Warning dialog, click Save Names.
The names of the listed Simulink objects are saved to a file.
2. Click Cancel to close Integration for MATLAB Simulink.
3. In the Simulink model, remove the trailing spaces, line-feeds and tabs from the names of the invalid objects so that they are valid for importing to Modeler.
4. Start Integration for MATLAB Simulink and repeat the synchronization.
