Updating a model (CM tool integration)
Update a Modeler Model so that it is up to date with the CM tool Model. You update a Modeler Model through a get latest operation.
To get a Modeler Model:
1. From Modeler, open the Model you want to update.
2. In the Packages pane, right-click the Model icon, point to Tools > Configuration Management, and then click Get Latest.
3. Select the Get Sub-packages check box.
4. Select the Get New Packages check box.
5. Click OK.
6. If a message about users being able to change the Packages in Modeler is displayed, click OK.
*
To get a Modeler Model, you require read access to the CM tool Model and its Packages, and Owner access permissions to the Modeler Model and its Packages.
The Model must be checked in, or checked out to a different Modeler Model.
If problems occur during a get operation, the problems are reported through either the Modeler Output pane or message boxes.
After performing a get latest operation with Version Manager, the message in the Modeler Output pane mistakenly states that a check out operation has been performed.
The time taken to perform a get latest operation will be reduced if you have write access to the Model and each Package in that Model, and in each case the Model or Package is not protected.
