Setting the value of an artifact property through an artifact dependency
When creating a Product Model, an Artifact Dependency can use the parameter value of the source Variant to set a selected property of the target artifact in the Product Model that is created.
To set an artifact property value through a variant parameter value:
1. Open the Property Pages of the Artifact Dependency through which you want to set a property of the target artifact.
2. Click the Variability Options tab.
3. In the Artifact Property list, select the property of the target artifact that you want to be set in the Product Model.
When the Product Model is created, the selected property of the artifact will be set to the value of the source Variant parameter.
Note that on diagrams, the name of a selected Artifact Property is shown on the Artifact Dependency.
