Model item types that can be stereotyped
Stereotypes can be applied to all item and diagram types except Stereotypes and Tag Definitions. In addition, Stereotypes can be applied to some item instances and symbols on the following diagrams:
Concurrency Diagrams (Class, Data Type, Interface, Signal, Event and Operation instances)
Communication Diagrams (Class, Data Type, Interface, Signal, Event and Operation instances)
Sequence Diagrams (Statements, and Class, Event and Operation instances)
When you apply a Stereotype to an item, the model item types listed are mostly self explanatory, but the following entries may need explanation:
OCD::Event Message is an instance of an Event on a Communication Diagram, Concurrency Diagram or System Architecture Diagram.
OCD::Instance is an Instance item on a Communication Diagram, Concurrency Diagram or System Architecture Diagram.
OCD::Operation Message is an instance of an Operation on a Communication Diagram or Concurrency Diagram.
OSD::Event Message is an instance of an Event on a Sequence Diagram.

OSD::Step is a Statement on a Sequence Diagram.
