Linking to an item through an applied tag definition
You can link items through a reference Tag Definition through the Links Editor and through a drag-and-drop operation.
Note that if you link diagrams to an item through a reference Tag Definition, you can open those referenced diagrams through the item's Open > Associated Diagrams context menu commands.
Through the Links Editor
1. Open the Property Pages of the item to which the Tag Definition has been applied.
2. Click the tab for the Stereotype that applies the Tag Definition, select the Tag Definition entry you want to set, and then click its cell in the Tag Value column.

Click the Items tab, in the list select the Tag Definition you want to use to reference another item, and then click the Link button.
3. For each type of item you want to link to:
a. In the Types list, click the required model item type or Stereotype.
b. In the left pane, select the appropriate folder, Package or diagram to display the required items.

If it takes too long to list the items, press the Escape key to abandon the operation. The items that had been loaded before pressing the Escape key are listed.
c. In the middle or right pane, select the check boxes associated with the items you want to link.
d. In the middle or right pane, clear the check boxes associated with the items you want to unlink.
4. Click OK.
Through a drag-and-drop operation
1. Open the Property Pages of the item to which the Tag Definition has been applied.
2. Click the tab for the Stereotype that applies the Tag Definition.
3. Drag the item to which you want to link to the Tag Value cell.
