I cannot create or change variability items in a model
This troubleshooting topic covers the following scenario: you can create and change non-variability items in a model, but cannot create or change variability items.
This problem can occur when variability modeling is not enabled in the model, or when a Product Line Engineering license is not available.
If you have this problem and variability modeling is enabled, you require a Product Line Engineering license.
To enable variability modeling in a model:
1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
2. In the left pane, click the Variability entry.
3. To enable Variability modeling, select the Enable Variability Modeling check box.
