This topic is for the Model Actions tab of the Component Sharing Configuration Manager.
The following controls appear on this tab:
• Source Model - Model Action list - specifies the action to take in the source model. The following options are available:
◦ None– does not protect or version the source model.
◦ Protect Before Export – protects the source model before exporting or importing the component's Packages.
◦ Sandbox Before Export – creates a sandbox from the source model version before exporting or importing the component's Packages from that sandbox.
◦ Version Before Export – creates a new version of the source model before exporting or importing the component's Packages from what is now the previous version.
This list is available only for Export To CM, Export To Directory, Export To Model and Import From Model actions.
• Source Model - Comment box - specifies a comment to record against the model version change.
This box is available only for Export To CM, Export To Directory, Export To Model and Import From Model actions.
• Destination Model - Model Action list - specifies the action to take in the destination model. The following options are available:
◦ None– does not protect or version the destination model.
◦ Reconcile After Import – for a destination sandbox, exports or imports the component's Packages to the sandbox and then reconciles that sandbox to the trunk.
◦ Version After Import – creates a new version of the destination model and then exports or imports the component's Packages to that new version of the model.
◦ Version Before Import – exports or imports the component's Packages to the destination model and then creates a new version of that destination model.
This list is available only for Export From Model, Import From CM, Import From Directory and Import From Model actions.
• Destination Model - Comment box - specifies a comment to record against the model version change.

In addition to the controls on the tab, the following commands and buttons are available:
• File > New command - opens a dialog for you to create a configuration file.
• File > Open command - opens a dialog for you to select a configuration file to open.
• File > Save command - saves any changes you have made to the configuration file.
• File > Exit command - closes the dialog without performing a component sharing operation. If there are unsaved changes, you are prompted to save those changes.
• Help button - opens this Help topic.
• Run button - starts the component sharing operation using the settings set on the dialog.
