Connector for IBM Rational Rose pages (Connector for IBM Rational Rose)
Connector for IBM Rational Rose includes the following pages.
Connector for IBM Rational Rose Page
Provides introductory information.
Select Source Rational Rose Model Page
Select the source Rose model, that is, the MDL file and optionally the Rose packages you want to import.
If you want to import the complete Rose model, select the Import the Entire Rose Model check box.
If you want to import diagrams from only selected Rose packages, select the check boxes associated with those Rose packages in the Or Select the Rose Packages You Want to Import pane. If you want to select child packages of the selected Rose packages, select the Import Child Packages check box.
Select Diagram Types Page
In the Import Options list, select the check boxes associated with the diagram types you want to import.
In the Use Case Model Mapping group, choose to import use case diagrams as Use Case Diagrams or Class Diagrams in Modeler. More information is retained on the diagram when you import use case diagrams as Class Diagrams in Modeler. For mapping information, see the following topics:
Use case diagram to class diagram mappings (Connector for IBM Rational Rose)

In the Activity Diagram Mapping group, choose to import activity diagrams as General Flow Diagrams or Activity Diagrams in Modeler. We recommend that you use Activity Diagrams; General Flow Diagrams are being deprecated.
Select Destination Model Page
Select the Modeler model to which you want to import diagrams and items. The active model in Modeler is initially selected.
In the Select the PTC Integrity Modeler Destination Item pane, select the Model or Package into which you want to import diagrams and items.
Set Import Options Page
In the Map Implementation As group, select the required access for Attributes and Operations that have their Export Control set to Implementation.
In the Illegal Parameter Characters group, choose to either remove or replace invalid characters.
If you want to create an import file for each imported package, select the Create Import Files for Each Package check box. You can use an import file to quickly populate a Class Diagram with an imported Package and its items. For more information about using an import file, see Populating a class diagram through an import file.
If you have made use of the ANSI C++ or VC++ languages in Rose, select the appropriate option in the C++ Import Configuration group. If you have not made use of the ANSI C++ or VC++ languages, you can ignore these options.
Importing Rose Model Page
Shows the progress of the import, and allows you to save the log through the Save Log button.
