Identifying which object association to use for a Modeler item link or relationship (automation interface)
Each item link type in a model is represented through an object association type in the Modeler Meta Model.
A Modeler item can be linked to other items in the model through ownership or links. Links can be created through the Links Editor and through the Items tab of an item's Property Pages. In addition, links can be created, for example, by selecting a type for an Attribute.
You can use the TellMe utility to quickly identify the name of a Modeler link's associated object association. For more information about the TellMe utility, click here
You can also identify the name of a Modeler link's associated object association through the Modeler Help.
To identify which object association to use for a Modeler item link or relationship
1. Open the Modeler Help. From Modeler, on the Help menu, click Help Topics
2. In the Contents pane, expand the Reference (includes model parts, diagrams, dictionary items and properties) section.
3. Expand the Dictionary Items section.
4. Click the entry for the item type from which the link or relationship originates.
5. From the first paragraph in the dictionary item topic, click the button to open the appropriate automation interface object topic.
6. Scroll down the topic and find the ASSOCIATIONS section.
7. Browse through the object associations listed in the ASSOCIATIONS section to find the object association you require. Typically the name of an object association indicates the purpose of the association.
