Type mappings page (Integration for PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager)
This page of Integration for Lifecycle Manager allows you to specify how the item types in Modeler map to the category types in PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager.
To add a Modeler item type to the synchronization: click the Add button.
To change the PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager categories that are mapped to a Modeler item type: select the Modeler item type, and then click Edit.
To remove Modeler item types from the synchronization: select the Modeler item types and then click Delete. For a Requirement Mapping, you cannot remove the Package and Package based items; such as the SysML Model, ModelLibrary, Profile and View model item types.
To remove all incompatible or invalid Modeler item types from the list (those shown with a red background): click the Delete Invalid button.
For a Requirement Mapping, the following Modeler item and diagram types can be synchronized:
Packages and the extensions of Packages
SysML extensions of Packages include Model, Model Library, Profile and View.
Requirements and the extensions of Requirements.
SysML extensions of Requirements include Design Constraint, Extended Requirement, Functional Requirement, Interface Requirement, Performance Requirement and Physical Requirement.
Actor, Comment, Constraint, Problem, Rationale, Requirement Diagram, Use Case and Use Case Diagram.
You can synchronize extensions of the preceding items and diagrams, and Stereotypes that override their type name.
Note that when Integration for Lifecycle Manager synchronizes non-SysML items and diagrams, it applies the «SynchronizedItem» stereotype to those items and diagrams.
For a Surrogate Mapping, the following Modeler item and diagram types can be synchronized:
Most UML item and diagram types.
Any item or diagram type that is created through a Stereotype that overrides the type name. This includes item and diagram types that are created through PTC Profiles.
Note that if you define any one-to-many mappings for a synchronization direction you are using, Integration for Lifecycle Manager will open the Ambiguous Type Mappings page so that the one-to-many mapping can be resolved.
The following notation is used on this page:
A Red background - means that the Model Item Type does not have a mapped PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager category.
Tip: You may want to create Requirements extensions in Modeler to match the names of your Requirements in PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager. You can do this by creating lightweight extensions of the SysML Requirement. Tell me more...
In addition to the common navigation buttons, the following controls appear on this page of Integration for Lifecycle Manager.
Modeler Item type column - lists the Modeler item types that are included in the synchronization.
Mapped Categories column - lists the PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager categories that are mapped to each Modeler item type.
Add button - opens a dialog to add supported Modeler item types.
The Add button is available only when there are Modeler item types to add.
Edit button - for the selected entry, opens a dialog for you to select which PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager categories types are mapped to the Modeler item type.
Delete button - removes the entries that are selected in the list.
Note that you cannot remove the Package entry or entries that are based on Packages, such as the SysML Model, ModelLibrary, Profile and View model item types.
Delete Invalid button - deletes the entries that have a red background.
Group list - specifies whether the listed items are organized by type or profile.
To progress through Integration for Lifecycle Manager: click Next.
Note that the Next button is available only when each listed Modeler Item Type has at least one PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager category mapped. Modeler Item Types that do not have any mapped categories are shown with a red background.
