Model and Lifecycle Manager document selection page (Integration for PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager)
This page of Integration for Lifecycle Manager allows you to specify the high-level settings for the Integration for Lifecycle Manager Mapping.
Type the Name of the Mapping and select the Modeler root item and select the PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager Document, root item and default field and then click Next.
In addition to the common navigation buttons, the following controls appear on this page of Integration for Lifecycle Manager.
Mapping group:
Name box — displays or specifies the name of the Mapping. The Name box is editable only when creating a new Mapping.
PTC Integrity Modeler Model group:
Model box — displays the Reference of the Modeler Model that is being synchronized. The Reference property appears on the General tab of the Model's Property Pages in Modeler.
Version list — shows the version of the selected model.
Comment list — this box is not used at present.
Root box — displays the name of the Model or Package that has been selected as the root item of the Modeler Model:
For a Requirement Mapping, the root item must be a Package (or a Profile extension of a Package).
For a Surrogate Mapping, the root item must be the Model or a Package (or a Profile extension of a Package).
Model items scoped to the root item and its sub-packages are included in the synchronization.
Select button (for Root) — opens a dialog for you to select the root item of the Modeler Model.
PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager Document group:
Document box — displays the name and ID of the PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager Document that is being synchronized.
Select button (for Document) — opens a dialog for you to select the PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager Document to be synchronized. The Document Type selected on the Create a New Mapping dialog determines which Documents are available for selection.
Baseline list — specifies whether Integration for Lifecycle Manager labels the PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager Document before performing the synchronization:
Current specifies that Integration for Lifecycle Manager does not label the Document before performing the synchronization.
[New] specifies that Integration for Lifecycle Manager labels the Document before performing the synchronization using the text specified in the Label box.
Label box — specifies the text that is used to label the PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager Document when Baseline is set to [New].
You can ensure that the Label text is unique for the Document through the %number and %datetime substitution tokens:
%number is replaced with a number to make the Label unique for the Document.
%datetime is replaced with the date and time of the synchronization.
If the substitution token does not appear at the start of the Label value, it must be preceded by a space.
If the substitution token does not appear at the end of the Label value, it must be followed by a space.
Default Field list — lists the PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager item fields that can be mapped to Modeler item properties. Select the PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager item field that you want to use as a default for initial property mappings defined on the Property Mappings page.
Root box — displays the name of the item that has been selected as the root item in the PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager Document.
ID box — displays the ID of the item that has been selected as the root item in the PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager Document. If you select the Document as the root item, Module is displayed.
Select button (for Root) — opens the Select a Root Object dialog for you to select the root item in the PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager Document. In the dialog, only items that are not involved in a different Integration for Lifecycle Manager Mapping are available for selection.
For more information about the Select a Root Object dialog, see Select a root object dialog (Integration for PTC Integrity Lifecycle Manager).
