Linking a DOORS requirement to a model element (Integration for IBM Rational DOORS)
You can link a DOORS requirement to a model element through Modeler or DOORS.
To link a DOORS requirement to a model element through Modeler:
This procedure assumes that the Link Synchronization Direction is set to either 'Modeler -> DOORS' or 'Modeler <-> DOORS'.
1. In Modeler, right-click the SysML Requirement, and then click Links > Start Link.
2. In Modeler, right-click the model element, and then click Links > End Link.
3. From the Quick Link dialog, select the required Relationship, and then click OK.
4. Synchronize the Requirement's Package with its associated DOORS surrogate module.
The traceability relationship is created in the DOORS surrogate module as a link that has its ART Link Type attribute set appropriately for the link type.
To link a DOORS requirement to a model element through DOORS:
This procedure assumes that the Link Synchronization Direction is set to either 'DOORS -> Modeler' or 'Modeler <-> DOORS'.
1. In DOORS, select the requirement object.
2. Using your preferred method of creating links in DOORS, link the requirement to the surrogate object that represents the model element.
3. Synchronize the DOORS surrogate module with its associated Modeler Package.
4. When prompted to select the traceability relationship type to create in Modeler, select the required type.
The link is created in the Modeler Package.
