Diagram Elements

Arbitrary Connector
To create an Arbitrary Connector: click the Arbitrary Connector toolbar button, click the source Concept Role, and then click the destination Concept Role.
Concept Role
To create a Concept Role:
Click the Concept Role toolbar button, and then click in free space on the diagram (or the High Level Operational Concept if shown). From the Select Type dialog, create or select the element that is the type of the Concept Role, or create an untyped Concept Role.
From an appropriate Modeler pane, locate the element that you want to use as the type of the Concept Role, and then drag that element to free space on the diagram (or to the High Level Operational Concept if shown).
The type of a Concept Role can be a Capability Configuration, Location Type, Logical Architecture, Node, Organization, Physical Architecture, Physical Location, Post, Resource Artifact, Role Type, Security Domain, Service Access or Software element.
Use Arbitrary Connector relationships to link a Concept Role to other Concept Role elements.
High Level Operational Concept
When you create an OV-1a High-level Operational Concept Graphic, Modeler does not add the owning High Level Operational Concept to the diagram.
To show the owning High Level Operational Concept on the diagram: right-click the background of the diagram, point to Populate, and then click Owner.
The following sections provide information about how an OV-1a High-level Operational Concept Graphic is used in the model.
