No longer used milestone (UPDM - DoDAF aliases)
Creation
To create a No Longer Used Milestone:
• From an Architectural Description or Service Description: right-click the Architectural Description or Service Description, point to New, point to DoDAF, point to Capability, and then click No Longer Used Milestone.
On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Project Milestone Type that is the classifier for the No Longer Used Milestone.
• From a PV-3 Actual Project Definition:
◦ Click the No Longer Used Milestone toolbar button, and then click in free space on the diagram. On the Select Type dialog, create or select the Project Milestone Type element that is the classifier of the No Longer Used Milestone.
◦ From an appropriate Modeler pane, locate the Project Milestone Type element that you want to use as the classifier of the No Longer Used Milestone, and then drag that Project Milestone Type to free space on the diagram. From the dialog, select No Longer Used Milestone, and then click OK.
After creating a No Longer Used Milestone you can set its date: right-click the No Longer Used Milestone, point to Set, and then click Date.
You can convert a No Longer Used Milestone to a Project Milestone, Deployed Milestone, Increment Milestone or Retirement Milestone: right-click the No Longer Used Milestone, point to Convert To, and then click the required command.

Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to a No Longer Used Milestone:
• Milestone Sequence relationships link a No Longer Used Milestone to the milestones that are predecessors and successors to that No Longer Used Milestone.
The predecessor and successor elements can be Project Milestone, Deployed Milestone, Increment Milestone, No Longer Used Milestone, and Retirement Milestone elements.
