Operational concurrent state (UPDM - NAF aliases)
An Operational Concurrent State is a proprietary element that is required to model UPDM in Modeler.
Creation
To create an Operational Concurrent State:
• From an
Operational State Description: right-click the Operational State Description, point to New, point to NAF, and then click Operational Concurrent State.
To create a new compartment on an Operational Concurrent State:
• From an Operational Concurrent State: right-click the Operational Concurrent State, point to New, point to NAF, and then click Operational Sequential State.

Relationships
The following relationships are of importance to an Operational Concurrent State:
• UML Transitions link an Operational Concurrent State to other State Diagram elements (NOV-6b Operational State Transition Description).
• Node Operation elements can be invoked by an Operational Concurrent State: right-click the Operational Concurrent State, point to Links, and then click Do Node Operation.
• Operational Activity elements can be invoked by an Operational Concurrent State: right-click the Operational Concurrent State, point to Links, and then click Do Operational Activity.
• Operational State Description elements can be invoked by an Operational Concurrent State: right-click the Operational Concurrent State, point to Links, and then click Do Operational State Description.
