Enabling Basic Authentication Access for DOORS NG OSLC Servers
The following instructions explain how to enable basic authentication for DOORS NG OSLC servers.

If you are enabling basic authentication for existing DOORS NG OSLC servers, remove all DOORS NG OSLC server credentials that are stored in the Windows Credential Manager. For more information, see Using the Windows Credential Manager.

To enable basic authentication for DOORS NG OSLC servers
You can use any one of the following methods to enable basic authentication:

Ensure to close all Modeler instances before performing any of the following steps.

• File method: Create a blank file named EnableBasicAuth_DOORSNG.txt in the %ProgramData%\PTC Integrity Modeler\ModelerATFiles folder.
• Registry Key Method:
a. Open Windows registry editor.
b. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Artisan Software Tools\ResourceProvider.
c. Create a new string named EnableBasicAuth_DOORSNG and set the value to True.
After you have enabled basic authentication with any of the above methods, adding a new DOORS NG OSLC server or expanding an existing server mapping will prompt you to provide user credentials for the server.
Key considerations
• If you do not enable basic authentication for any of DOORS NG OSLC servers that you are trying to access, an error is displayed which is similar to the error you receive when you enter invalid credentials on a basic authentication-enabled server.
• Icons in previews may not display.
• Once you enable basic authentication, it applies to all the DOORS NG OSLC server connections on your computer.
